マイクの物理的許容量を越えた時にも音割れは起きる

調整精度が高いiPhoneでも音割れを起こしてしまうケースは存在します。マイクのそばで囁くように呟いていた人物を撮影している時に急に大声を出したり（想定外の音量が急に入る）する場合、内蔵されたマイク性能の許容を越えた大音量（クラブなどで使用されている重低音のウーハースピーカーの近く、などでは音割れが起きることもあります。主に電話の声を拾うために設計されたマイクでは耐えられないレベルは存在します。このようにマイクの許容量を越えてしまったケースの音割れは98％修復が不可能と考えた方が妥当です（2022.6現在)。
